Profiles

A profile is a name, optionally what to make (a pipeline), and the options that differ from the defaults. Apply one and every option it stores is set; everything else goes back to its default. A built-in Default Profile always exists.

  • Apply: the toolbar’s Profiles menu.
  • Save: Profiles › Save Options as Profile… saves the current options.
  • Manage: Settings › Profiles to rename, reorder or delete.
  • Profiles are what the Quick Action and Shortcuts run: one shortcut per profile gives one Finder menu item per profile.

The text you set isn’t part of a profile.

Apply from the toolbar (on a computer) or Settings, and save or manage them in Settings › Profiles. They are kept in your browser. Export saves them as profiles.json and Import reads one back, in the same format the app keeps its profiles in.

The CLI can’t apply a profile yet. Every conversion’s report shows the equivalent shapemason command with Copy, so you can run the same options from a terminal.

profiles.json holds a list of profiles. Each profile’s options use the option keys under Profile JSON in the options reference; missing keys take their defaults, unknown keys are ignored.
