Slicers import STEP but turn it into a mesh, and they can’t export STEP. ShapeMason covers the trip from a slicer project into CAD and back.

Tips

• Do all edits in CAD before slicing: the slicer turns STEP into a mesh.
• 3MF files from Bambu Studio keep each part’s name and color; support and modifier objects are skipped.
