Fusion
DXF sketches
Section titled “DXF sketches”- Insert › Insert DXF.
- Choose a plane or face, pick the DXF file, and set the unit to millimeters.
The profiles arrive as a sketch; closed ones can be extruded.
STEP solids
Section titled “STEP solids”File › Open › Open from my computer, or upload the .step in the
Data Panel. To add it to an open design, insert it from the Data Panel
after it has been uploaded.
Imported STEP is a base feature without history. Faces merged by ShapeMason select as one; Prismatic conversion gives cylindrical faces that Press Pull and Fillet work on.
Recipes
Section titled “Recipes”Fusion can insert SVG itself, but ShapeMason’s cleanup and true arcs still save rework.
